The Vanderbilt University Japan Alumni Chapter held its inaugural meeting June 12 at the Tokyo American Club. Approximately 50 alumni attended the event.
James Auer, Vanderbilt senior lecturer in Asian studies, emeritus, delivered remarks at the inaugural event and agreed to serve as the chapter’s first honorary chairman.
Heiki Miki, MBA’96, and Matthew Wright, M.Ed.’14, were elected to serve as the chapter’s first president and deputy president, respectively.
