Meditation workshop at new zen garden scheduled for April 7

Project Dialogue and the Vanderbilt Buddhist community will host a meditation workshop at the Office of the University Chaplain and Religious Life‘s new zen garden on Tuesday, April 7, at 5 p.m.

This one-hour event will consist of a guided meditation workshop and a discussion. The meditation will be led by Lisa Ernst from One Dharma Nashville.

The meditation session will be for 15-20 minutes, followed by a discussion on Buddhism. The event will end with light refreshments and tea inside the chaplain’s office.

This event is intended to introduce students to how mindful meditation and Buddhist philosophy can play a positive role in their lives. It also will offer a way for people in the Vanderbilt community who have an interest in Buddhism to learn more.

The discussion will serve as a safe space for individuals to freely talk about issues that are of special concern to their lives and communities and receive support from their peers and the teacher.

The Office of Religious Life is located at the Community Partnership House, 401 24th Ave. S., behind the Branscomb Quad.
