Save the date for annual MLK lecture

James Forman Jr. (Yale University)

Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and School of Medicine, in conjunction with the 2015 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Series, will present James Forman Jr. on Monday, Jan. 19. His presentation is titled “The Other America.”

Forman is clinical professor of law and supervising attorney at Yale Law School. He is also the son of civil rights pioneer James Forman Sr., who served as executive secretary of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) beginning in 1961.

The lecture will take place at noon in Light Hall, Room 208, and is open to the public. Student volunteer community service will follow the speaker.
