Panel discussion on men’s health is Oct. 21

A distinguished group of Vanderbilt faculty will discuss “Men’s Health and the Politics of Masculinity” during a public forum Oct. 21 on campus.

The event, sponsored by Vanderbilt’s Center for Medicine, Health and Society, will be moderated by Jonathan M. Metzl, the Frederick B. Rentschler II Professor of Sociology and director of the Center for Medicine, Health and Society. Participating will be:

The Center for Medicine, Health and Society is an innovative multidisciplinary center that studies the social and societal dimensions of health and illness. Its scholarship, teaching and wide-ranging collaborative projects explore medicine and science in a wide array of cultural contexts while at the same time fostering productive dialogue across disciplinary boundaries.
