Jennifer Barut, MSN, R.N.

Jennifer Barut, MSN, R.N., a nursing professional development specialist, received a scholarship to attend the organization’s annual conference in October in Indianapolis, where she was scheduled to present on behalf of VPH. As part of her honor, she received a scholarship that paid for her expenses and a year’s membership in the nurses’ association.

Barut, who joined Vanderbilt as a staff nurse in 2001, is pursuing a Ph.D. in Nursing Science at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.

“Jennifer is one of the few individuals that I have seen in my 25 years of nursing for whom the passion for learning and implementing change that will benefit our profession and patients comes naturally,” said Avni Cirpili, DNP, R.N., Chief Nursing Officer for VPH.
