Vanderbilt’s Project Safe Center celebrated its opening at the historic Cumberland House on West Side Row with an open house and remarks by university leaders Sept. 10.
Speakers included Susan Wente, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs; Associate Provost and Dean of Students Mark Bandas; Cara Tuttle Bell, Project Safe Center director; Anita Jenious, director of Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action and Disability Services at Vanderbilt; and Tanner Owen, president of Vanderbilt Student Government.
The Project Safe Center serves anyone on Vanderbilt’s campus affected by power-based personal violence, which includes intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking and more.
