Barnes & Noble at Vanderbilt will host a free celebration Sept. 29 to honor the birth of Don Qixote author Miguel de Cervantes. A Spanish-language reading of Cervantes’ poetry and a classical guitar performance will begin at 7 p.m. at the bookstore, located at 2525 West End Ave.
Veteran Broadway actor René Millán will portray Cervantes, and special musical guest Jonah Kraut will perform on guitar. The poetry selections will be compiled by Cervantes specialist Edward Friedman, Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of Spanish and professor of comparative literature and European Studies at Vanderbilt.
