Celebrate baseball championship with events TODAY

Join Commodore fans and the Vanderbilt community in celebrating the baseball team’s national championship victory in the College World Series with events scheduled for Thursday, June 26. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updated information.

Greet the team upon its return to campus. Players and coaches are expected to arrive at the Vanderbilt Baseball Stadium on Jess Neely Drive between 1:15-2 p.m. this afternoon.

Come to the free public celebration scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Soccer and Lacrosse Complex, and hear from Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos, Athletics Director David Williams, Coach Tim Corbin and Commodore team members. Gates will open at 5 p.m. Attendees may enter through the John Rich Practice Field adjacent to the complex, and free parking will be available in the surface lots along Natchez Trace. In the event of rain, the celebration will be held at the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center’s indoor practice facility.

Note: Jess Neely Drive will be closed to traffic beginning at 5 p.m.

Celebrate in style! Official College World Series Championship T-shirts are now available at Barnes & Nobles at Vanderbilt and will be available at this evening’s celebration and online. T-shirts also will be sold at special locations around campus in the coming days:
