The rain last Saturday morning didn’t dampen spirits at the Shade Tree Trot, which drew more than 650 runners and walkers to the Vanderbilt Campus.

Organized by Vanderbilt University School of Medicine students, the 5K race raises crucial funds for the student-run Shade Tree Clinic.

Now in its sixth year, the Trot and associated events represent the clinic’s largest annual fundraising effort.
