Haun takes new role to enhance VUMC managed care relationships

Sheri Haun, MBA, director of the Office of the Health System Chief Executive Officer, has assumed the new role of associate vice president for Managed Care Contracting for Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

In this role Haun will report to Cecelia B. Moore, MHA, CPA, associate vice chancellor for Finance, and secondarily to C. Wright Pinson, MBA, M.D., deputy vice chancellor for Health Affairs and CEO of the Vanderbilt Health System. She will retain her current title and responsibilities as director of the Office of the Health System CEO.

In the new role Haun will determine, in conjunction with VUMC executive and operational leadership, VUMC’s Contracting Committee and Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network (VHAN) representatives, the approach to payer positioning and strategic payer relationships.

Haun will also work collaboratively with teams across VUMC, VHAN and the Vanderbilt Medical Group to communicate and educate about VUMC’s managed care relationships.
