Patient Carroll Duke. Blue-tooth equipped bathroom scales, blood pressure cuffs and pulse oximeters are used by Vanderbilt Home Care for remote home monitoring of congestive heart failure patients. The devices transmit to a blue tooth pod in the home, which sends the data on to Vanderbilt Home Care and to the patient’s cardiologist. If the numbers fall outside a desired perameter, alerts are sent to nurses and doctors. Photo is patient at home Photo by Joe Howell
