‘Bedside Matters’ caregiver rounds moved to Dec. 11

The next Bedside Matters monthly rounds, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 20, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11.

The brownbag lunch event, geared toward helping Vanderbilt University Medical Center health care providers deal with the social and emotional issues of caring for patients and families, will take place at noon in 214 Light Hall.

The topic is “Successful Treatment of Hepatitis C in a Homeless and Uninsured Patient — A Team Approach to Providing Care.”  Facilitated by Walter Merrill, M.D., chief of staff at Vanderbilt University Hospital, panel members are Nick Harris and Taylor Triana, second-year medical students and co-executive directors of the Shade Tree Clinic.

The free event is open to VUMC staff, faculty and students. No registration is required. CME, CEU and Contact Hours will be offered.
