Wooten, better known as Future Man, is an inventor, scientist, musician, composer and two-time Grammy Award-winning performer with Béla Fleck and the Flecktones. For the Flecktones, he plays the Drumitar, a guitar-shaped electronic instrument of his own invention that allows him to replicate the sounds of an entire contemporary drum kit with just a few fingers. The RoyEl is based on the periodic table of elements and the golden ratio.
