The grand prize winner of the 2013 Global Education Office photo contest is a fun one: Nisha Khorasi’s “Making Camel Friends at the Great Pyramids, Cairo, Egypt.”

This year, Vanderbilt students submitted nearly 500 photos taken during their travels around the world. GEO staff narrowed the photos down to 12 finalists, which were made available for viewing on the GEO’s Facebook page.

More than 30,000 people viewed the photos, with Khorasi’s shot garnering the most “likes.” Poster-sized versions of the 12 finalists will be on display in the Student Life Center starting Sept. 9.

The Global Education Office is home of the undergraduate study abroad program at Vanderbilt.
