Jeffrey Palmucci, B.S., CRA, RT(R), director of Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, has received the Gold Award from the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA).
The award is the highest honor AHRA bestows upon one of its members, and is given each year to a member who has made significant contributions to the association and to the profession of imaging and health care administration.
Palmucci’s achievement was recognized during the AHRA Annual Meeting and Exposition, July 28-31, in Minneapolis.
“It really meant a lot to be nominated for this award by my peers,” said Palmucci, who joined Vanderbilt in 2010. “I’m lucky to be blessed with an excellent employer who wholeheartedly supports my professional growth.”
Palmucci received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph’s College, in Wyndham, Maine, and became a certified Radiologic Technologist through his study at Providence Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in Ohio. Prior to joining the Vanderbilt team, he was director of Radiology Services at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He served on the board of directors of American Healthcare Radiology Administrators from 2001-2009, and as its president from 2007-2008.
