Learn more about Saturday program for gifted students at open house May 21

Vanderbilt Programs for Talented Youth offers academically gifted students in grades K-6 the opportunity to attend accelerated courses at Vanderbilt on Saturday mornings during the 2013-14 academic year through Saturday Academy at Vanderbilt for the Young. Summer SAVY courses also are available.

SAVY provides a dynamic learning experience to academically gifted and motivated learners. Courses are taught by Vanderbilt professors and master instructors. Students in grades K-6 who test at the 95th percentile and above on academic achievement or ability tests are eligible to participate in SAVY.

SAVY will meet for six consecutive Saturdays from 9 to 11:45 a.m. The fall session of SAVY is scheduled for Sept. 28–Nov. 2, 2013. The spring session is scheduled for Feb. 8–March 15, 2014.

Learn more about SAVY during an open house Tuesday, May 21, at the Wyatt Center Rotunda on Vanderbilt’s Peabody College campus. Drop in any time from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
