A visit to the hospital or clinic can be overwhelming to a child. That’s why Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has created two new cartoon videos to ease children’s anxiety by providing helpful information in a fun and age-appropriate way.

The 90-second videos can be found on the Children’s Hospital website and YouTube channel.

The first video introduces children to some of the people they may meet during their hospital or clinic visit. The second is designed to help children understand some of the words that are common to medical professionals but may be confusing to youngsters.

Parents are encouraged to watch the cartoons with their children to help them feel at ease before their visit.
