Last Saturday’s Shade Tree Trot drew more than 700 runners and walkers to the Vanderbilt campus.

The 5K race, organized by Vanderbilt University School of Medicine students, raises funds for the Shade Tree Clinic, the free student-run medical clinic for the underserved population of East Nashville.

Now in its fifth year, the Trot is the clinic’s single largest annual fundraiser.
