Observe National Heart Month

February is National Heart Month. Observe the month with these tools and upcoming events:

• Take advantage of this opportunity to know your numbers—blood pressure, height, weight and body mass index—from 7 to 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
• Listen to a podcast with Vanderbilt cardiologist Sergio Fazio as he discusses the physiology of the development of heart disease, the role of genetics, and how we can reduce our risk.
• Learn more about being heart smart with Health Plus’ Count on Your Heart events throughout February and March.
