Nashville is the birthplace of country music, a major music industry center and home to a flourishing independent music scene.
At a talk Feb. 19, Vanderbilt University sociologist Richard Lloyd will look at three key Nashville districts – Lower Broadway, Music Row and East Nashville – to show how music and place intersect, citing specific buildings, neighborhoods and even alleyways in Nashville that are crucial to both preserving the past and shaping the future of Music City.
The event will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville (322 Broadway) in Nashville. To attend, please RSVP to stephanie@civicdesigncenter.org
There will be a cash bar and valet parking.
