We mailed decision letters today to the first members of the Class of 2017, Vanderbilt’s most academically qualified and diverse Early Decision I class to date. <br> Do you remember waiting for your letter from Vanderbilt?

I got mine in December 1998! It was the 15th though. I was so nervous because it was a thin envelope, but that's how they did Early Decision then. I only applied to VU, got in, and graduated in 2003. Black and Gold!Emily Faye Abbott

I just had a couple butterflies in my stomach just thinking of the moment when I ran out to the mailbox to check the mail and saw the Vanderbilt emblem on the outside of ... yes ... a VERY skinny envelope! I remember getting a huge Vanderbilt envelope the same day as my rejection letter from Stanford. Decision was made for me as to where I was going and I have never looked back. So proud to be a double 'Dore!!!Renee Yuen
I remember the joy the holiday season my daughter got her ED1 acceptance letter. When it came in the mail my husband drove to her school and asked her guidance counsellor (who was a great resource through the college selection process) to call her out of class. She had no idea. When she arrived at the office he handed her the letter. She read it and fell to her knees and "who-hoo'd" as loud as she could then started hugging everyone running all over. Santa quickly filled her gift list with lots of Vandy gear! It was a great Christmas.Lori Day
