Mayor leads campus walk with faculty and staff

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean (foreground, second from left) was at Vanderbilt Dec. 6 to participate in a two-mile campus walk with faculty and staff. The event was part of the Walk 100 Miles with the Mayor initiative for 2012.
Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs Beth Fortune, Vice Chancellor for Administration Jerry Fife and Metro Council member Burkley Allen joined Dean in leading the walk. Afterward, free water and fresh fruit were handed out, and local food trucks were on hand to feed participants.
