Commodore Award winners named

The annual Commodore Award is a presented by the Chancellor each fall, and this year’s recipients were Rebecca Pride, a registered nurse in Perioperative Services, and Tonya Mills, a grant manager in Political Science. They were honored at the Employee Tailgate Celebration earlier this month, along with Service Award honorees.

The Commodore Award recognizes and rewards significant individual staff achievements in Vanderbilt University’s pursuit of excellence in education, health care, research and community service.

Staff members who hold a regular full-time position below the level of director or department head for at least three years are eligible for nomination.

Recipients receive a crystal bowl engraved with the Vanderbilt logo and a cash award.
