The funeral Mass for Ann Carell – who with her late husband, Monroe Carell Jr., was a longtime supporter of Vanderbilt University and endowed the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in 2004 – will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation located on West End Avenue. Ann Carell died Aug. 20 following a brief illness.

Some guests attending the service may park in the Terrace Place Garage on Thursday morning. Vanderbilt Traffic and Parking officers will be stationed at the garage to direct Zone 2 parkers to alternative parking if necessary. Overflow parking is available in the Chet Atkins Garage, located at the corner of Chet Atkins Place and 18th Avenue South (see map), or in Lot 75A, located in Zone 3 at the corner of Natchez Trace and Blakemore Avenue.

Traffic and Parking appreciates the cooperation of staff, faculty and students in this unique circumstance and does not anticipate lack of ample parking in the Terrace Place Garage on a normal weekday.
