Frist’s Jhaveri to speak on introducing children to the arts May 17

Vandy Moms presents a talk by Keri Jhaveri, youth and family educator at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, about helping children enjoy their experiences with art and art museums.

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. May 17 in the Student Life Center, Room 109.

Jhaveri specializes in creating interdisciplinary art experiences and programs for a variety of audiences, including K-12 children, families, college students and adults, and is passionate about making art museums accessible, family-friendly and fun.

She will share more about the Frist Center’s art programs for youth, such as the Martin ArtQuest interactive gallery as well as the Summer Art Camp program, Kids Club, Artful Tales and Family Festival days.
