Steven Tepper, assistant professor of sociology and associate director of the Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy at Vanderbilt, will give a Night at the Library lecture Wednesday, March 21.
Tepper will speak in the auditorium at the downtown Nashville Public Library at 7 p.m. A reception will precede his talk at 6:15 p.m. The event is open to the public and sponsored by the Metro Nashville Arts Commission.
Tepper is a leading writer and speaker on U.S. cultural policy and the author of Not Here, Not Now, Not That! Protest Over Art and Media in America and co-editor and contributing author of Engaging Art: The Next Great Transformation of America’s Cultural Life. His work has fostered national discussions on cultural engagement, everyday creativity and the transformative possibilities of a 21st- century creative campus.
