Kids and Kites Day, co-sponsored by the Vanderbilt Institute for Obesity, is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Bicentennial Mall.
The public is invited to bring a kite, family members, lawn chairs, a pair of comfortable shoes and lots of enthusiasm for this event designed to fight childhood obesity.
Nashville Mayor Karl Dean will lead a family walk, and all walkers will be eligible for prizes.
