Children’s Hospital urges holiday driving caution for teens

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of injury and death among teenagers every year, and crash deaths are even higher during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Young drivers, ages 16 to 20, are more likely to crash due to their inexperience.
Since parents are the most important influence on their teens when it comes to risky behaviors, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is offering some safety tips to parents who have teen drivers.
