Vanderbilt Gives

Make your gift today.

Vanderbilt employees have a rich tradition of going beyond their daily work to help those less fortunate. Faculty and staff pledged more than $925,000 in gifts last year to the Nashville and Middle Tennessee communities.

This year, employees can give to the community through Dec. 31, 2011, via the employee giving initiative Vanderbilt Gives.

Community giving supports hundreds of local agencies that benefit Vanderbilt’s neighbors and communities. Whether your compassion lies with environmental issues, improving neighborhoods, research on a particular health issue or support for educational needs, you may designate your pledge to any agency of your choice. Vanderbilt partners with Community Health Charities of Tennessee, Community Shares, the Nashville Public Education Foundation and United Way of Metropolitan Nashville to support hundreds of local 501(c)(3) charities.

Giving options include payroll deduction, credit card or direct bill. Payroll deduction makes it easy to spread a gift out over 12 months, and the deductions do not begin until January 2012.
