All tickets for post-Tailgate football game reserved; get unclaimed tickets at Tailgate event Sept. 10

Food and fun for the entire family will be served up at Tailgate 2011.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at Rob Roy Purdy Field at the Student Recreation Center, 25th Avenue South entrance. Tailgate is free and open to all regular faculty and staff and their families. A Vanderbilt ID must be shown for admission.

Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs and join your colleagues for this Vanderbilt community tradition. Free food, games, a contest challenging Commodore fans to wear their wildest black and gold clothing, and healthy frozen treats from the Health Plus tent will be featured.

Due to popular demand, all of the free tickets for the post-Tailgate football game against Connecticut have been reserved. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, any unclaimed football tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Employee Tailgate Party ticket tent.

  • A Vanderbilt ID must be presented to pick up your tickets.
  • All game attendees, regardless of age, require a ticket for admission into the stadium.
  • Kickoff for the game is at 6:30 p.m.

Free parking will be available in the West Garage on Children’s Way. Download a parking permit. Use the Children’s Way entrance. No parking adjacent to Rob Roy Purdy Field.

Tailgate 2011 will be held rain or shine. The game time is subject to change. Tailgate will always begin three hours before the game.
