Jess Neely Drive to close for Baseball Super Regional

For the first time in school history, Vanderbilt will host the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament when Oregon State visits Hawkins Field beginning Friday, June 10.

To accommodate media trucks from ESPN for the nationally televised tournament, Jess Neely Drive will be closed to through traffic beginning Thursday, June 9, at 8 a.m. Emergency vehicles, VUMC shuttle buses and McGugin Athletics staff ONLY may access Jess Neely until 6:15 p.m., when the street will be closed for the night.

On Friday, June 10, Jess Neely Drive again will be closed to through traffic beginning at 6 a.m. (only emergency vehicles, VUMC shuttle buses and Athletics staff may gain access) until 6:15 p.m., when the street will be closed prior to the first game’s start at 7 p.m.

The Commodores and Beavers play Friday night at 7 p.m. on ESPNU and Saturday night at 8 p.m. on ESPN2. Sunday’s game time (if necessary) is yet to be determined.

The Super Regional round is a best-two-of-three-games series with the winner advancing to Omaha and the College World Series.
