MEDIA ADVISORY: Members of Vanderbilt community work to help flood victims

Nearly 100 students, staff and faculty members, and even families in town for Friday’s commencement will be working in Nashville Tuesday, May 11, helping victims from floods that overtook the area last weekend. Five community members needing help have been identified and teams will be dispatched in two shifts.

Shifts are scheduled for 8:45 and 11: 45 a.m. at the following sites:

– 1120 57th St.
– 714 Hite St.
– 715 Hite St.
– 102 Summerview Court
– 912 Todd Preis Drive

The Vanderbilt volunteers will be doing whatever they can to assist with cleanup. They plan to use their own tools and supplies.
