The former general counsel at the University of Michigan during the landmark 2003 Supreme Court affirmative action cases will speak at Vanderbilt Law School. Marvin Krislov led Michigan’s defense of its affirmative action admissions policies for both its undergraduate and law school. The event will be held in Flynn Auditorium on Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Krislov, who is now the president of Oberlin College, will share his unique insider’s perspective from litigating these cases and he will discuss where he sees the future of affirmative action in the realm of public education under the Roberts Court and the Obama Administration.

The lecture is presented by The Hyatt Fund of the Vanderbilt Law School along with Vanderbilt Law’s American Constitution Society and Federalist Society.
